Spire named to World Economic Forum’s 2015 Technology Pioneers
August 05 2015
The World Economic Forum has officially announced its list of 2015 Technology Pioneers — and our team at Spire is incredibly happy to announce that we are one of them. The select group of companies are focused on design, development, and deployment of new technologies that will have a significant impact on business and society across the planet, and we are in fantastic company. To be included now amongst such a group of distinguished companies, including past recipients such as Google (2001), Wikimedia (2007), and Kickstarter (2011) is an honor.
In order to be chosen, each company had to demonstrate visionary leadership and proven technology with strong market signals for sustained market leadership. Within its first year, Spire went from zero to space with multiple in-orbit satellites. As with any launch, our momentum has continued to grow as we propel higher and further in pursuit of solving global problems. The future of Spire is bright. By the end of this year, Spire will have launched over 20 satellites and accomplished several goals - including deployment of the world’s first commercial weather satellite network.
Every day at Spire is great, but today is just a little extra special.
