Spire Global is a space-to-cloud analytics company that owns and operates the largest multi-purpose constellation of satellites. Its proprietary data and algorithms provide the most advanced maritime, aviation, and weather tracking in the world. In addition to its constellation, Spire’s data infrastructure includes a global ground station network and 24/7 operations that provide real-time global coverage of every point on Earth.

In the time it takes you to read this job description our low earth orbit nanosatellites would have passed overhead at least three times traveling at around 8km a second. Onboard, the satellites are collecting and downloading radio signals (data) that help drive value across the Maritime, Weather and Aviation industries. Spire also offers an innovative service to bring customer payloads to orbit aboard our satellites, fast and hassle free. We call this Orbital Services.

Since Spire’s first launch in 2013, we’ve put up more than 100 satellites, each batch better than the previous one (at the time of this writing, we are on our 18th iteration).  Our satellites have three payloads: Our AIS data receiver, our Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)/GPS radio occultation and reflectometry receivers, and our ADS-B aircraft signal receiver.

The Bespoke and Orbital Services team is focused on developing radically new and disruptive markets for ourselves and our customers through new technology that leverage Spire’s expertise and infrastructure.


We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to introduce and drive adoption of Spire’s GNSS and Orbital Services offering. This marketing professional will own the product marketing strategy as well as drive effective cross-team execution so that Spire can achieve aggressive growth goals.

The successful candidate for this role will be a strategic thinker, researcher, innovator and excellent storyteller, and a demo expert with a strong customer focus. You will understand how to build content and go-to-market plans to effectively acquire customers and drive interest in these two distinct product/service lines. You will closely interact with business development, sales and sales engineering teams to support the generation of leads that develop into bookings and revenue. 

Responsibilities of your role: 

  • Become an internal expert on Spire’s GNSS products (Radio Occultation, Reflectometry, Ionospheric data, etc.) and Orbital Services (hosted payloads, dedicated satellites) and use cases and how we position them externally as well as internally to our sales teams
  • Contribute to and help develop product positioning and messaging to our customer segments and verticals
  • Own announcements of new features to our customers and prospects, including establishing demand generation campaigns
  • Own and execute on sales enablement deliverables such as marketing collateral, sales decks, customer testimonials, competitive intelligence, training and more
  • Work closely with business development managers to identify strategies to access new markets and/or customer segments
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand our sales process, to garner a clear picture of customer needs, and to constantly iterate on improving our sales funnel metrics.   
  • Work directly with the product team to influence the product roadmaps, based on market demand, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback
  • Collaborate closely with the brand, digital marketing and demand generation team to execute against Goto market launch strategies


  • At least 5+ years of experience in product marketing or marketing Space as a Service products, ideally in a start-up environment
  • Interested in the environment, remote sensing data fusion, and space
  • Extremely strong collaboration skills and a motivation to engage with different offices across multiple countries and time zones
  • Strategic and critical thinker
  • Motivated by ambiguity and ability to turn innovative thinking into actions
  • Proven ability to work effectively across marketing, sales, product management, and engineering organizations
  • B.A./B.S. Degree
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
