A study found that if global warming rises by 2°, there will be a seriously disrupted climate with higher sea-levels, stronger storms, melting ice, plant and animal extinctions, loss of lives due to heat, contagious diseases and smog.

Certain parts of the world could experience stronger storms as wind speeds increase. Tropical cyclones and hurricanes are expected to increase in both frequency and intensity.
