AI Ensemble Weather Model (AI-WX):

  • Pioneering operational AI weather forecasting: As one of the first fully operational AI ensemble models, AI-WX generates new forecasts every six hours, providing real-time insights ahead of the curve and powered by Spire’s advanced data assimilation, including proprietary Radio Occultation (RO) data.
  • Extended forecasts with precision: Surpassing traditional 15-day models, AI-WX extends predictions up to 20 days at a detailed 0.25° resolution (~25 km grid), offering global scalability and accuracy.
  • Efficiency through AI innovation: Leveraging Microsoft Aurora and NVIDIA GPU acceleration, AI-WX delivers faster, more cost-effective forecasts than traditional physics-based models.

Sub-Seasonal AI Model (AI-S2S):

Introducing AI-S2S, Spire’s proprietary sub-seasonal to seasonal forecasting model, designed and trained in house on Spire’s satellite data to tackle the complexities of long-range forecasts. This first-to-market solution empowers businesses with extended, actionable weather intelligence up to 45 days out.
