Spire Global is growing at a rapid pace, looking for a Chief People Officer, who will report directly to the CEO. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a data driven human capital strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of recruiting, retention, engagement, culture, leadership, coaching, succession planning, talent and change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement human resources efforts that effectively support and communicate the company’s mission and strategic vision.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business area regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
  • Proactively manage resource allocation and maintain a competitive approach to recruiting and assimilating high-potential talent throughout the world. 
  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive global compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Work with the company's executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
  • Provide overall leadership to the People and Talent functions by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, retention, employee engagement, training, leadership development, succession planning, compensation and benefits globally.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting & Legal to ensure proper reporting, compliance and mitigate organization risks.

Profile

  • Demonstrated ease and competence in leading and interacting in a global, diverse, and multicultural environment
  • General business and financial acumen with the ability to develop and utilize HR data and metrics as they relate to and impact business topics in Finance, Legal, IT, payroll, and administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal – and an ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences globally.
  • Demonstrated capability in adapting and innovating HR practices and solutions and right sizing them to the needs of a fluid, fast-growing, and fast-paced organization.
  • Results-driven, agile, change agent with the commitment and confidence to assume a leadership role in an evolving complex environment.
  • Demonstrated success at cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and creating partnerships at all levels within the organization to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with Cornerstone and NetSuite beneficial.
