Government and Partner Sales, Maritime


Spire Global is a space-to-cloud analytics company that owns and operates the largest multi-purpose constellation of satellites. This is a key sales position within the Government and Partner sales  function.  Reporting directly to the Vice President of Government and Partner Sales, Spire Maritime, it is expected that the candidate will be a key contributor in the successful execution of the company’s global sales strategy. Countries included in this region are primarily within North America, along with the South and Central regions along with their overseas territories.

This role requires the application of industry knowledge, business development skills, government, enterprise selling tactics, partner management, strong collaborative, and interpersonal abilities to identify, develop and close business directly to government entities, including academic and research institutions. Additionally, the candidate will identify, recruit and develop new partner sales channels within the territory and manage their sales activities on a daily basis..

The successful candidate brings an extensive sales and business development background in maritime data services, applications or other related services in the territories as designated by the Vice-President, Government and Partner Sales.


  • Achievement of company driven sales targets in the assigned sales territory(ies)
  • Development of territory sales plan and identify key focus government accounts and potential channel partners
  • Development of Strategic Account Plans for each focus account which will identify key sales opportunities and tactics to be used to bring these opportunities to close
  • Cultivation and management of indirect sales channels (resellers and partners) to achieve sales targets
  • Manage the Territory Sales Pipeline
  • Reporting of Territory Sales Forecast/Sales Pipeline and progress against plan on a weekly basis
  • Assist in the development of the territory marketing plan
  • Attendance at company Sales Meetings on as needed basis
  • Willingness to travel as required in order to achieve the sales plan
  • Work closely with Customer Success Team to ensure customer satisfaction


  • An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Science, Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-10 year’ experience in large account sales/business development in relation to data services, software applications or other similar services
  • Experience in government sales (all levels)
  • Experience in cultivating and managing partner sales channels, preferably in the Maritime data services market
  • Strong knowledge and experience of enterprise based selling methodologies such as Value Selling or Integrity Selling preferred
  • Ability to develop, manage and execute a top down Strategic Account Plan
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative spirit
  • Familiarity with CRM based solutions such as Hubspot or SalesForce
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, pending current pandemic restrictions
